Latest Update: Milestone 1

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our first Milestone! The objective was to develope the first prototype, code named “TreeRover Ichi”, to the point where it could drive forward, backwards, and plant a tree under wireless control. Next we will complete the planting process by adding a pressing mechanism. This will ensure that the trees are planted firmly in the ground.

TreeRover Early Prototype Testing

The first two weeks of development have been both challenging and rewarding here at Iota Enterprises. After much research, design and experimentation we have constructed an early working prototype. The following video clip shows this development process as well as the successful planting of a Western hemlock, CFS plug stock seedling by the pneumatically controlled planter mounted on the rover base. Stay tuned for another update next week when we reach our first project Milestone!
